Decisions around build quality, adhering to brand standards, incorporating “green building” services or adopting high technical and engineering services on a hotel project are difficult to quantify the value of.  Challenges of obtaining materials, dealing with contractors and subsequent challenges of facilities management it can all make project decisions on quality buildings seem costly but Africa has the opportunity to leap frog ahead in building design and efficiency.

What with rising cost of utilities, more extreme environments to contend with and energy resources becoming scarcer what is the potential cost of not planning ahead?

These sessions explore some of the challenges faced by the industry and talk to those who have developed more efficient buildings.  What are the commitments needed, the tips, key learnings and most importantly the financial benefit?
