Chief Operating Officer - MEA & Turkey
In his role Paul oversees a large portfolio of over two hundred hotels (52,000 keys) across eleven brands, ranging from Premium to Midscale and Economy. His responsibilities include new hotel developments, alongside the conceptualization and execution of operational and commercial strategies. One of his main objectives is to grow the footprint of the brands, building and maintaining relationships with business partners, in addition to the integration of the company’s vision and values, the ongoing improvement in financial performance, while maintaining an excellent level of brand standards. Paul has over 30 years of operational experience, having assumed various strategic positions with Accor, commencing in 1997 with the role of General Manager in various hotels. In 2007, he joined the team in Thailand as lead for Hotel Operations. He later held the position of Vice President Operations for Midscale and Economy brands Upper Southeast Asia, leading the operation for the region out of the Bangkok Regional Office. In this role, he was responsible for the operation of 72 hotels in various geographical locations including Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, The Philippines, Myanmar and Maldives. Prior to assuming the responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer, Paul held the position of Chief Executive Officer for Accor Plus, where he was responsible for managing Accor’s subscription loyalty program run in Asia Pacific.
