Deogratius J. Magero
Partnerships Manager for Africa, Youth Career Initiative
Deogratius is the YCI Partnerships Manager for Africa Region. He is in-charge of drawing partnership strategy, managing non-profits and hotel partners as well as launching and managing YCI programs across sub-Saharan Africa.
Before joining YCI, Deo was the Business Development coordinator at McKinsey & Company's Generation Program in Kenya. He has previously worked as a Strategic Planning consultant for Action Aid, Local Projects Coordinator for the Netherlands's based Libre Foundation, Senior Outcomes Manager at Moringa School, a teacher and a high school principal. The vast experience has greatly prepared him build and implement the partnerships strategy for YCI in Africa.
At AHIF, Deo will be speaking about the amazing work YCI is doing in Africa to collaboratively address youth unemployment in partnership with Global hotel brands. He will be sharing the transformative story of youth career development and the opportunities available for partnership with YCI to address youth unemployment in Africa.
Deo is very passionate about building opportunities for youth development. He also enjoys traveling and is very happy that YCI offers him the opportunity to travel as he builds partnerships for youth employment. If he's not traveling for work, Deo spends his free time speaking to youth on matters leadership and personal development, visiting the disadvantaged and listening to music.
