Globally recognised executive with 20 years of experience across public policy, strategic communications and stakeholder diplomacy, Virginia is a Travel & Tourism expert and advocate. She currently serves as Executive Vice President at the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), where she leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering value to the top 200 businesses of the sector and influencing policy worldwide. Virginia joined WTTC in 2013, advancing through leadership roles including Senior Vice President of Advocacy and Communications, where she led WTTC's sustainability transformation, established the Tech & Innovation unit, and secured high-value strategic partnerships. Prior to WTTC, she held senior positions within the Mexican Government, including the Presidential Office under two administrations and as Chief of Cabinet at Mexico's Ministry of Tourism, where she led the G20 Tourism agenda and secured the sector's first-ever recognition by G20 Leaders. Outside of her professional achievements, Virginia is committed to sustainable tourism practices and is known for her strategic vision, operational execution, and stakeholder diplomacy at the highest levels.
