Hellen W. Kibe is a part owner and Director of Operations & Academic Affairs at Amboseli Institute of Hospitality & Technology Ltd since 2005. She also serves as the Director of Elegance Hospitality Limited (EHL), an advisory, Training and Management consultancy firm.

Before joining Amboseli Institute, Hellen was the Head of Hospitality Department at Mountain Top Institute between 1995 and 1999. Upon graduation from college, she served at the front office of the exquisite Windsor Golf & Country Club between 1993 and 1994. She served as the Principal of Amboseli Institute between 1999 and 2005.

Hellen holds an MA in Tourism & Hospitality Management from GBSB Global Business School – Barcelona Spain, B.Sc. in Hotel & Restaurant Management (Major Concentration) Hotel planning and Development (Minor) from United States International University – USIU Africa, Diploma in Hotel & Catering Management from Technical University ( Formerly Kenya Polytechnic), a Certificate in Business Management from Kenya Institute of Business Management (KIM) and is a Certified Life Coach. She is currently doing a level 1 certification in Nutrition Coaching with Precision Nutrition – a Health, Fitness and Nutrition Coaching Certification offered by PN Coaching Inc. Headquartered in Ontario Canada.

Hellen has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the hospitality training ecosystem: spanning over 20 years. In the course of her career in the agile hospitality industry, she has trained thousands of young people who are now working in various facets of the industry and many others who are self- employed. In her distinguished career, she has originated, negotiated and concluded numerous contracts, created and maintained relationships in the hospitality industry and other related sectors as well as established local, regional and international networks.

Hellen is instrumental in developing Hospitality Curriculum for Diploma students and supervising its implementation having attended various Pearson BTEC Training Sessions and other Curriculum Development Workshops.

As a proactive and versatile person, Hellen has an uncanny ability to manage projects from conception to successful completion. She is passionate, focused and diligent in all her undertakings and has a proven track record of ability to maximize on limited resources. She applies logical approach to challenges and performs effectively under pressure.

Hellen is a certified life coach and a member of Kenya Association of Women in Tourism.
